Tameka Hill‑Brunson is a proud Charlotte native, born in 1970, whose life and leadership reflect a deep commitment to service, family, and community. A graduate of East Mecklenburg High School (Class of 1988), she continued her studies at Southeastern Beauty School and later earned an Associate in Arts degree in Early Childhood Education in Applied Science. She has also completed specialized training in Contract Management, Sales Tactics, Personal Management, Strategic Marketing, and First Aid/CPR.
Tameka spent 15 years as a professional hairstylist before expanding her entrepreneurial footprint. For nearly three decades, she has owned and operated Bann‑Rama Daycare, Inc. and Monroe Tax Service—two trusted, community‑anchored businesses built on integrity, consistency, and care.
In March 2022, Tameka joined the Family Child Care & Center Enrichment Foundation (FCCEF) as Treasurer, where she brings strong financial stewardship, organizational skills, and a heart for supporting Family Child Care Educators across North Carolina.
She is an active member of NASE, ABWA, and BCDI. Tameka also serves as co‑leader of the Hidden Valley Network and as Secretary of the GMSBC Usher Board, continuing her long-standing commitment to faith, leadership, and community service.
Family is the center of Tameka’s world. She is happily married, a mother of five—including three biological children—and a proud grandmother of seven. She often shares that becoming a mother was God’s greatest gift to her, and becoming a grandmother brought an even deeper joy.
Her love for cooking and baking inspired her latest venture, T & T Catering Service, created alongside a close friend. Whether in her kitchen, her businesses, or her community, Tameka brings warmth, generosity, and a passion for seeing others thrive.
